All,

Staging time and location have been updated

Staging: 4:00pm - Walgreen's, 2091 Orchard Rd,Montgomery, IL 60538
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=.....inois+60538&z=15

Ride Brief: 4:15

Depart: 4:30 - A short ride to our Hero's home.

RC: Dave Skinner & Tom VanGundy - TVG 630-408-0299

.

Thanks for considering helping us welcome home Patrick. The address of the party is XXXX in Montgomery Illinois. The party is starting at 3:00 and ends whenever people leave I guess. Here's a little info on Patrick Pienkos.

He is an E5 Sargent

Unit: 125Th and 724Th Transportation Units

A few of the people he has served with are Harrod, Polte, Maryweather, Burge, and Barraco.

Joined Army Reserves at age 20 in Florida.
Left behind his mom Paula, older brother Brian, 2 younger sisters-Meagan and Caitlin, Grandfather Paul and many friends and extended family in Florida to help the USA. Dad-J., step-mom Jan, sister Kathy, brother Chris, and Grandma and Grandpa Pienkos and extended family who lived up in the Chicago area also had proud hearts and concerns for Patrick. Graduated basic training in Sept. 2002. What a proud moment for all of us.

Patrick was called to service and "activated" for the original Iraq invasion that the media called "The Shock and Awe." We all had to watch on TV wondering which truck was Patrick's. What a wide range of emotions we all felt for him- enormous pride, through enormous worry.

Patrick also was called a 2ND time to go back to Iraq. This time, he also left behind a younger brother Sean up in Illinois. Once again, it was hard to leave family and friends, but Patrick did so with great love and pride and honor.

After returning from his 2ND trip to Iraq, Patrick moved up to the Chicago area. Good fortune smile on him and he met Sarah. In time, they bought this townhouse and gave us all another wonderful blessing. His name is Hunter.

When Patrick was called to to serve a third term, this time at Camp Speicher, it was much more difficult and more emotional. Leaving behind Sarah and Hunter was one of the most difficult things he has done in his young but well experienced life. But once again, he did so with love, pride and honor.

Sarah has been absolutely wonderful and has worked very hard keeping the family bond between Patrick and Hunter so close. Pictures, emails, videos, conferences, phone calls, more pictures, and loads of conversations and love. Sarah always kept the father/son relationship a priority no matter how many miles separated them.

In April, Patrick did get to come home for a visit and celebrate Hunter's 2ND birthday.

Patrick returned home to the US again at the end of July.

We all are very proud of the man Patrick has become. Many of our county's young men and woman have sacrificed many moments and opportunities in their lives in order to serve our great country, and we are very proud that Patrick is one of them. He shows us that anything good in your life is worth fighting for. Thank you to Patrick and all of the strong men and woman who have served and are still serving our great country. Thank you to all of you who help make The United States of America a great place to live in.

I know this is short notice but we are very appreciative of whatever anyone can do.

Staging: 4:00pm - Walgreen's, 2091 Orchard Rd,Montgomery, IL 60538
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=.....inois+60538&z=15

Ride Brief: 4:15

Depart: 4:30 - A short ride to our Hero's home.

RC: Dave Skinner & Tom VanGundy - TVG 630-408-0299
